Life Unexpected.

Yea I know, I abandoned my blog again. However, it is not without a purpose. Been living life up and downs with so many news. More on the bad news though. My heart felt oh-so wrenching every time I hear something sudden.

That's life. You wont know what to expect till it comes. I'm left with a sorrow in the age of 19. But still, it's still hard accepting bad news from other people.

Truth is, whatever shit happened, happens. Just need to get up and move on. Your not the only one facing problems. There are other people who are facing the same problem as you.
One way I learnt how to calm myself down in any given situation. =)

Valentine's Gift!

This year, Hubby and I agreed not to have a big "hoo-hah" on Valentines Day because I felt we spent a lot for our Kayelle trip. And also, I am still very happy about the present he gave me for my birthday so no complaining here! =P

However, Hubby didn't know I have loads of stuffs planned for him. which it's only two by the way. To those who know me, would probably know that I do not go to the kitchen. EVER. I don't like all the fuss in the kitchen. Hee.. but, I do enter the kitchen occasionally if I NEED to. Say, when I am hungry enough?

A lot of girls would probably cook Western or Japanese cuisine for their loved ones. A super duper Good choice I tell you! Asian cuisine is the hardest to cook of them'all!! Hubby loves Asian cuisine partially because his family are great cooks. Why oh Why..

So, I figured there are sooo many cookbooks lying around my house, so why not if I try two of them? Mom helped me with the raw ingredients as I am very lost in markets. I would go with her but I don't know how to haggle the price and all. Hee hee.

These two are the dishes I cooked for hubby!

Not bad eh?? It is Sweet and Sour pork and Pandan Chicken!
I am soo proud of myself!! Cause frankly, even my mom doubt whether I can cook these two super hard dish!

The 1st picture is the dish I cooked and the 2nd picture is the picture from the cookbook! Same?? =P

First dish, suppose to be Pandan Seafood but ending up to be Pandan Chicken cause I ran out of fish!
This dish is super hard to do I tell you. I spent hours prepping up this dish! All the blending, mixing .. not to mention the turmeric powder (kunyit) ! My nails are stained now due to the yellow. And and.. it's my first time dealing with all raw, very RAW ingredients. Fish, Squids, Prawns, and Chicken. All slimy ingredients. Sighs. All I do for Love.

Next dish,  Sweet and sour Pork.

This dish I think has a better outcome. Taste better too! Don't really look the cookbook's picture but oh well, it's my first time cooking Asian food. Hubby compliment loads about my dishes. He is very proud of me too! Worth all my hard work. *phew*

Apart from that, I also made a video of Hubby and I! This is because I would always keep the movie tickets  of the movies we watched together. I know, very weird right? But if you just started on a relationship, I suggest you should keep them. To remind you how much you have spent only on watching movies! Hahaha.. just joking.

Anyway, I saw a pile of movie tickets there and I figured I want to do something creative with it. So, this is the outcome! Enjoy! Be sure to hang in there till 2:22 yea? Cause it might get boring in the middle.

Just for Vday purpose only. =P

What hubby gave me you asked? Tee hee.. Something sweet for sure! A lovely rose and a homemade card.   Haven't took a picture yet. I soo miss his hand made cards. Very sweet and genuine.

So, that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed Valentines Day whether your single or in a relationship! Mwahs mwahs!

Loads of love,
HuiLing.

Short shot.

Yeap! Cut my hair short! I wont say I did not regret it. Just a tiny bit cause I really don't like short hair with a short fringe. Well, I took this when I was on my first day to college for my Semester 2. Extremely fast right? and Guess what? The class was cancelled due to the wrong time table. yeah. shit happens. Anyways, I am quite free with my new timetable. Only two days of class per week.  I might as well get a part time job or I think I will learn how to cook!

The time for romance is coming soon! Can't wait! Cause I am doing a surprise for love. I hope it's not too embarrassing for him though. *fingers crossed*

Till then!
Loads of love,
Hui Ling.

KL trip!

Ola readers!
*content warning: definitely a long one!*

After months of my determination and persuasiveness, finally, the "big boss" lets me to go on a 3days 2nights trip to KL. I remembered the last time I'd been to a trip with my friends.. hmmm... gosh.. it was a super duper, did I mention "SUPER" long time ago...when I was 12!! Freaking 12! Even that, I was with chaperons (teachers). *smackshead* Seriously, sometimes I feel that I am so left out. A lot of my friends or should I say "my age group" had seen the world more than me. High five to those who knows what I meant.

I was really excited on this KL trip because I got to be independent. I know, I sounded like a suburban but its true! Well, you cant blame me if you know my condition. I don't always get what I want.

Day One of my trip was pretty exhausting. We sat on the bus for like nearly 5hours! Can you believe it? My ass is about to burn if I sat any longer. Reached Puduraya, bought all of our tickets and took the monorail and LRT. I never sat on LRT and monorail before. Yeap, that's how sad lavish my life is.

The monorail! I am actually quite impressed with the service, both monorail and LRT.

Then checked into our hotels and then off we went for a small shopping spree and that time it's already around 5pm. Had to go food hunting some more. Met my two buddies Tasha and Dharsh! I am so glad they came all the way for me. Had our dinner in Taiwan Recipe in Berjaya Times Square. I guessed we don't have that in Penang and by far, it is the only Taiwan food I feel is edible. I tried other Taiwan food and I don't like it at all!

In Taiwan Recipe with my dear buddies. Rest of them sat on another table because there were just too many of us! @_@

Look what they gave me for my birthday! A charm bracelet! Created just for me! Tee Hee. Thanks again guys!

Then my dear best friend Tasha brought me to all the shopping complexes nearby! I seriously love it! Everything is just a walking distance! KL people are just sooo lucky!

Me in Pavillion! On day 1.

Then off to the second day. Our second day was a day trip to Genting Highlands Theme Park. I told my friends and Love that I really want to go to the theme park because I don't think I will be able to sit on the thriller rides when I grow older. True, yes? Once you get older, your courage dies along with you. By the way, Gui Ling joined us too in Genting. We played all the rides we could find time for in Genting. I finally played Space Shot, Corkscrew, and Flying Dragon!

The group before we leave to Genting. Love is the cameraman! Heek Heek!

Just look at the crowd!

Genting Skyway, finally after hours of queuing up!

All 7 of us! In the cable car.

I was so famished that even Marybrown tasted sooo yummy to me.. Or is it really yummier than KFC??

Some of the rides we played. Awesome!

Big big love ~! Notice our couple Ralph Lauren tee??

I am pretty happy because I did not chickened out in any of the rides. Thank god I survived all the rides.I can't stopped thinking about final destination. wtf. *peace* We spent the whole day in Genting and only managed to play like 7-8 rides? How sad. I definitely think that time was wasted in the waiting time which was a freaking 45minutes for a ride! However, I felt really content with myself that day except something occurred on the way back, but, it is all settled after Love gave me his "all time best persuasion speech". Very lucky to have him by my side. Always.

Day 3. Shopping time!!! Yay.. the best time any girls could have. Love promised me to get a luxury bag for my 21st birthday. He told me to go bag-hunting that day but I guessed I wasted loads of time merely finding the right one that got Love and my two buddies pretty annoyed I guess. Yes, Tasha and Dharsh came again on Day 3! I have problems in making decision. I mean, how can I make decision on bags? I just want em' all!!! Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Prada, Louis Vuitton. OMG. Walking in the place makes you feel ever so "Royal". Yeap, being 21 is definitely the best! At the end of the day, I decided on Michael Kors. It was quite a surprise actually because I never thought of the brand when I was going to KL. Well, sometimes we got to go for what we really like, yes?

Then before the girls when home, we ate at Fish Manhattan Market. I am so in love with their creamy mushroom and cheesy fries. Yeap, hell food! but I can't stop! Plus, Love always let me eat what I want. So, why waste? Hee hee.

Us in StarHill Gallery -youknowwhere-

Me and the girls again!

Dragon year - Day 2

Since the fireworks would'nt let me sleep, why not I just type a post, aite? Normally, the second day of Chinese New Year, the Tan's will just do nothing. However, this year, one of my aunt decided to held a buffet for all! Tee hee! More food to consume!

In the morning, sis and I went to our grandpa house for a visit and wished them well for Chinese New Year. Then, off I went to Love's house to pai chia his family and relatives. Something new this year. *smiles* After few hours at his grandma's place, we decided to go and fetch my mom and off we went to one of my aunt's place where all my cute cute nephew and niece were there.

Meet the cheeky duo in the family!

All of us love to play with them because they're just simply cute and funny to watch! Even boyfie loves playing with them!

Around 7pm, we decided to head to my another aunt's place where the dinner buffet was held. My aunt invited most of the Tan family and it was more merrier than Day 1, I can tell you that.

Meet Mi Familia.

To those who didn't know, my birthday falls on the second day of Chinese New Year. Auspicious much? Tee hee. I got double ang pows in like every year, yeap, it's my favourite month! This year I got extra cause I turned 21! ^^

Apart from that, the Tan's also surprised me with a birthday bash this year too! I can't described how much I love my 21st birthday. I had two birthday bash!! Can you believe it? MASSIVE TWO! Like I said in my previous post, I really want to celebrate my 21st with my family and friends. And with God's will, I got it!! I felt really happy and glad though cause nothing can beat family and friends. This I learnt from the best - My father

Awww, Look at my cute nephew face! Should have asked him to blow the candles with me! ;P

and this is him giving me lessons on playing cards! super cute!

and this is the present he gave me (I know it's from his mom though)

The day continue with loads of laughter, chit chats, rounds of alcohol and gamble of course! So, how was your Chinese New Year celebration? Do tell me about it!

Loads of love,
Huiling
