Valentine's Gift!

This year, Hubby and I agreed not to have a big "hoo-hah" on Valentines Day because I felt we spent a lot for our Kayelle trip. And also, I am still very happy about the present he gave me for my birthday so no complaining here! =P

However, Hubby didn't know I have loads of stuffs planned for him. which it's only two by the way. To those who know me, would probably know that I do not go to the kitchen. EVER. I don't like all the fuss in the kitchen. Hee.. but, I do enter the kitchen occasionally if I NEED to. Say, when I am hungry enough?

A lot of girls would probably cook Western or Japanese cuisine for their loved ones. A super duper Good choice I tell you! Asian cuisine is the hardest to cook of them'all!! Hubby loves Asian cuisine partially because his family are great cooks. Why oh Why..

So, I figured there are sooo many cookbooks lying around my house, so why not if I try two of them? Mom helped me with the raw ingredients as I am very lost in markets. I would go with her but I don't know how to haggle the price and all. Hee hee.

These two are the dishes I cooked for hubby!

Not bad eh?? It is Sweet and Sour pork and Pandan Chicken!
I am soo proud of myself!! Cause frankly, even my mom doubt whether I can cook these two super hard dish!

The 1st picture is the dish I cooked and the 2nd picture is the picture from the cookbook! Same?? =P

First dish, suppose to be Pandan Seafood but ending up to be Pandan Chicken cause I ran out of fish!
This dish is super hard to do I tell you. I spent hours prepping up this dish! All the blending, mixing .. not to mention the turmeric powder (kunyit) ! My nails are stained now due to the yellow. And and.. it's my first time dealing with all raw, very RAW ingredients. Fish, Squids, Prawns, and Chicken. All slimy ingredients. Sighs. All I do for Love.

Next dish,  Sweet and sour Pork.

This dish I think has a better outcome. Taste better too! Don't really look the cookbook's picture but oh well, it's my first time cooking Asian food. Hubby compliment loads about my dishes. He is very proud of me too! Worth all my hard work. *phew*

Apart from that, I also made a video of Hubby and I! This is because I would always keep the movie tickets  of the movies we watched together. I know, very weird right? But if you just started on a relationship, I suggest you should keep them. To remind you how much you have spent only on watching movies! Hahaha.. just joking.

Anyway, I saw a pile of movie tickets there and I figured I want to do something creative with it. So, this is the outcome! Enjoy! Be sure to hang in there till 2:22 yea? Cause it might get boring in the middle.

Just for Vday purpose only. =P

What hubby gave me you asked? Tee hee.. Something sweet for sure! A lovely rose and a homemade card.   Haven't took a picture yet. I soo miss his hand made cards. Very sweet and genuine.

So, that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed Valentines Day whether your single or in a relationship! Mwahs mwahs!

Loads of love,
HuiLing.

A little me time

Hello readers!

Ahhh .. at last, some me time for myself! Surprising, yours truly actually finished up SOME of her assignments pretty early - a week earlier that is! Hahahaha - like a boss! I'm truly effing proud of myself because I normally do last minute work and it will cause me.. my beauty sleep! I can't let that happen, do I?

Not only I've finished up my assignments, but I also did went out a couple of times!

I've already tried Fullhouse in Times Square!
Love the decorations but not the service. I guessed they must have lack in manpower. Must Have!

I love white! In case you didn't notice..

Handsome guy spotted! ^^

Happy me!

We also went to TGV 1st avenue, Penang to try out their Beanbag Seats! It's love idea because he wants to try something new. It's really comfortable if your going with your boyfie, that is.

Sometimes, I wonder whether its just a coincidence that we smile the same.

Super huge RM30 Beanbag Seat. Psst.. I even saw people bringing blankets and teddy bears to the theater. I guessed cause it's just really that cozy. Damn cute though!

I'm so happy that we actually tried the beanbag seats while watch Twilight : Breaking Dawn because one, it's a romantic movie and two, it's only a "meh" movie to me.

Then, I also got the chance to go to Yin Lan sister's Wedding Eve. Met up with the girls and we talked and talked till we forgot the time. #truestory

From the left : Angel, Janlyn, Me, Munyee and Kar Chee. Yin Lan was the photograher.

Till then,
I'll try to upload some of my assignments. Uber interesting but, got me sleepless nights for days! Or I could make a Benefit's Dr Feel Good review. Hmm... Stay tuned!

P/S : Happy 4 years 6 months anniversary love!

Love always,
HuiLing.

You are the apple of my eye, love! ;P

Hi cupcakes!
How are you? I hate the afternoons now because it's just too hot! Feel like soaking myself in ice the whole day till night.
Well, Love has been complaining that I'm neglecting him from my blog. Not true right?? Better say not true.. He he he..

Got to wear my shades for the first time! and.. I realised hubby loves to pose with his mouth open.

Yesterday, love and I went on a spontaneous date together. Just a couple of hours on the island, then we are back home. So sad. How I wish happy days wouldn't end so quickly.
We watched "You are the apple of my eye" a mandarin movie that everyone is raving about. So, we thought, oh well, let's go checked it out since so many people put so many good reviews on it.

"You are the apple of my eye" - Rate 2.5/5. The movie was just fine to me. Just all those lovey dovey, too young to love movie. Oh ya, there were also a lot of dirty jokes that I don't really fancy. I prefer English movie that really makes me excited and want to tell my friends about it. This movie's joke just make me narrowed my eyebrows and just look at love. But I am glad I watched with him though.

Then, after the movie we went to El Casa Wine & Dine Restaurant in Penang. It's quite easy to locate actually. Hubby and I didn't had problems at all finding the place.

 Pretty romantic place right??

I really hope to go to Santorini, Greece one day. Looking at all the Santorini photos hung on the wall, makes me so happy.

I actually wanted to sit outside where it's more romantic, but I'm afraid of mosquito bites.

The guy who makes me a very happy and fortunate girl!

Blogger herself. =)

Say Hii!!!

Soup of the day! You have to try this! It's totally a whole different mushroom soup!

My dinner! Honestly I love the spaghetti so aromatic! But the chicken is too filing for me cause it's wrapped in egg and I'm not a egg fan.

Dessert! Mango Pudding!! Yumm!

What the picture says. ;)

That's all folks! I'm so stressed out with the overloading assignments. I'm so doubtful of myself whether I can finish my assignments on time or not. Sighs. Wish me luck!

Loads of love,
Hui Ling.

Must watch movie! : Real Steel (2011)

Okay I know I know. I'm obsessed of  REAL STEEL! I am I am! I think this is the only movie I feel like going to the cinema for the second time! You'll definitely regret if you don't watch this in the cinema!

All the action, the emotions, the technology, and the robots just makes me haywire! I love movie so much because it really makes me questions my ability and creativity. And the movie is really realistic! I can picture ourselves in that era (if I'm able to lived that long, lol)

The man behind it all :

Shawn Levy! Not bad himself right? I don't mind watching him on set too!

Real Steel Movie Synopsis: Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback. - got this from movies.about.com

Hugh Jackman is a great actor -no doubt about that-, but the star who really caught my eyes was Dakota Goyo!

The little boy who played the role of Max Kenton, son to Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman). He is really awesome in the movie! So natural and so energetic! And boy, he Can dance! You know, I have to salute Shawn Levy cause he found just the two right person for the main leads.

I long awaited for Real Steel after watching it's trailer. The trailer was awesome enough, but the whole movie was even more AWESOME! DOUBLE AWESOME! TRIPLE AWESOME!

Watch this and you will know what I'm talking about and why I'm so in love with this show! And I'm so happy to watch it with my hippo! ^^ We were so into the movie that we didn't mind sitting the 5th row from the screen!
Good Luck in getting your tickets! It's gonna be though!

A little update on me, private uni life is amazing but it's gonna tired me out soon. Assignments after assignments, but all about self-development, no shitty theories and all. I'm Loving It!

Loads of love,
Huiling

Random Updates.

Hi readers!

Yesterday Clement and I watched "Fortune Buddies" in GSC Cinema . It's not like our normal movie genre but he said sometimes need to watch something different like comedy. What's more funnier than Hong Kong comedy right? He said his friends gave good reviews of it. So, we thought of watching it yesterday.

I personally think it's hilarious! cause they inserted a lot of updated jokes and their expression will just make you laugh. Spoiler : Angry birds! Come on, after a long boring or stressful day, you have to cheer yourself up a little. Love yourself! Anyways, I cant stop laughing in the cinema! Since there's not a lot of people in the cinema so ..what-the-heck! I laughed all I want! heeee...

This is the trailer ! Make sure you watched it to the end ya!

Oh ya, called up UPU (not me, love did!) to ask about when the results will be announce for those candidates who appealed for a varsity spot.

They told me that its gonna be on the 15th of September (Yes, after the intake.) Then, I saw some people posted in FB stating it's on the 3rd or 4th September. So, I'm not quite sure about it. Lets just see ya.

Now, updates on me. I'm just living in the norm. Laze around everyday. Appreciate the days I have before going into public uni (hopefully) / or private uni (2nd choice). Will be working during Raya Festival to earn some extra cash. Seriously, without money, no fun at all!

Till then,
Loads of love,
Huiling.
