S&G: Clear Here Review

I know I have been delaying this post for awhile. It's better late than never right? So, awhile back, I bought this Clear Here Daily Moisture Lotion by Soap & Glory during my visit to Kuala Lumpur. It wasn't a plan-to-buy item. It was merely, "I couldn't resist the assuring words written on it". Like Seriously.

Take a look for yourself!

HOW TO NOT BUY, RIGHT??!!

Well, I use this after cleansing and tone. I would say that I am happy I bought it but not VERY happy though. I know, I told you guys I so in love with this product; but after using it a few times, I would say it is not recommended to those who like to apply make-up. This is because when I put on the moisturizer, it did give me a matte-finish-look at first. But, after a few hours, I feel quite uncomfortable with it because it tends to add weight to my face! Seriously. It is like everything clogged to my face.

So, I only use it in the morning and at night before I go to bed, when I am not applying make-up. I would give it a 6/10. To any girls who are interested in buying, I would recommend to those have combination skin type.
Its retail price is at MYR 49.

HuiLing.

Aesop Cleansing Masque Review Up!

Olaz peeps!

Yes, today I'll be covering Aesop's Signature Cleansing Masque that I've promise!
Aesop Cleansing Masque is a clay mask used on those with combination to oily skin. Fret not, I am under that category too.
It's a wash off clay masque if you ask.
A few months ago, I was under oral medication which I must strictly say bye-bye to because I am afraid about what will happen to me in the future.

So, I was on a quest to find a masque that will just EAT UP all the oil on my face and with my first try, I got it! Lady Luck was so there for me! *fingers crossed*
Aesop is well known for their dark glass bottles like the ones you can find in a science laboratory. Aesop don't really advertise on their products much as it will just add up promotional price to the product.
True right?

When I first opened the seal of the bottle, I was Whoa! The smell of rose geranium maybe overpowering for you if you don't like things with heavy scent. I forced myself to get use to it as it works wonders on my face.

Seriously, you have to try one if you haven't! The sales assistant asked me to use twice a week but being a rebel I am, I'm using it 3 times a week cause I know my own skin and how much oil does my face secrete everyday!

One thing I can tell you is after using this masque, I honestly feel my skin is turning better as there were lesser  blackheads (I know, cause I used the nose strips too!), my skin becomes fairer each time i wash off the masque, and the oil on my face does decrease from day to day. I know, because normally I have to blotted my face every hour but now it does last to 5-6 hours! My miracle worker!

By the way, it cost RM149 for 120ml (normal size bottle) and if you are buying it, remember to ask the sales assistant a few of those huge ice cream sticks so you wouldn't have to use your fingers.

Do share your results after you used it okay? I too want to hear good stuffs from you!

Love always,
HuiLing.

What I've Bought on Saturday.

Hi sweethearts! Well, this post is actually for girls but boys, you can read it too if you want to!

Last Saturday, mom and I decided to go to Gurney Plaza while waiting for my sister to finish her seminar. In my mind there is one thing I am so dying to buy! That is Benefit's Pore Minimiser! I am actually a big fan of Benefit somehow cause I just love the packaging, the brand as well as the products!

But I ended up not buying it. Why? Because I'm such a failure, I admit I can think of buying something from a store but walking out with another something. Does this happens to you? Oh well, better not start regretting.

1st stop, Aesop's Facial Cleansing Masque. This is actually Aesop's Signature Clay Masque. I bought this Clay Masque due to the oil secretion on my face that is just literary raping my whole face! Clay masque are for those Combination to Oily skin. I bought and used it on Saturday. The effects are pretty good! After washing off the masque, your skin will just feel so clean and weightless due to its deep exfoliating. I will go in to the details on my next post ya because it's a truly a must buy product! Love it!

Then, I bought Benefit's Dr Feel Good. If you are a Benefit's product fan, then you know what I am talking about. Dr.Feel Good Balm is a refiner balm that promises to tighten those large pores and keeps your face matte' all day long. Anything that will keep my face matte', I will definitely buy. So, I've used this and to tell you the truth, it does work! However, I just can't stand the smell cause it smells like insect repellent and it's really hard to get the balm with the sponge. I just use my cleaned fingers.

That's all girls, stay tuned as I got loads of events coming up this week! Can't wait to get everything settled than I can start cleaning my messing room! Till then.

Loads of Love,
HuiLing.

Bobbi Brown Sunday!

Awesome stuffs huh? Just like a dream come true! ^^ Not all mine though.

Yesterday, mom decided that we all (family) should just go Gurney Plaza, Penang and walk around to relieve some stress. Yes, staying at home can be stress too! Stress comes after boredom.
Initially, I did not plan to buy anything cause I just don't feel like it. Just want to eat and walk, basically get some fresh air besides looking at the four walls at home.

We walked ourselves into Bobbi Brown, Just to see-see. I long knew the Long-lasting Gel Eyeliner from Bobbi Brown was really good. A lot of people were commenting about it. So, I thought of giving it a try. It's pricey and it doesn't have a brush that comes with it. You would have to buy the brush separately that cost RM100! Wtf. Luckily, I found one in Etude House that only costs me RM12! tee hee!

I opt for caviar ink. Simple terms : Dark brown nearly to black.

Hit me in the head will ya? I still don't know why I insisted to buy Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner since it's very pricey. But after the sales assistant lady helped me to drew on the eyeliner, I instantly fell in love! And she taught me how to drew the eyeliner too! Yay!

Skin Foundation SPF 15 PA+ - 3 Beige.

This is the liquid foundation I bought. The SA swap 3 different tones on my cheeks to see which one blends in to my skin better. I'm in the Beige category.
If you are 80-100% like me, then you should try the liquid foundation I bought.
1. I have oily T-zone and rest of it is super dry cause I'm under medication.
2. I prefer to have light to medium coverage. I don't like foundation that make my skin feels 10 grams heavier!
3. I DO NOT like to have a cakey face after applying foundation.
4. I want a foundation that covers my red patches and my veins near my cheeks.
Next, we have the sheer finish pressed powder!
The SA told me that it's a loose powder but it is compact together. She also told me after applying liquid foundation, we MUST use loose powder so that the liquid foundation stays put and doesn't make skin look too dewy (oily).

Sheer Finish Pressed Powder - 5 Soft Sand.

And now I will show you what's mine, mom's and what we got for free!

Mine.

My mom's. Moisturizer (more like BB cream to me) and lipstick!

What we got for free after we purchase more than RM500!

And guess what? Bobbi Brown is giving free eyebrow trimming to those who purchase any item from them. Love! And yes, I did get my eyebrows done.

Price List (in case you're wondering) :
1. Skin Liquid Foundation - RM 160.00
2.Sheer Finish Pressed Powder - RM 125.00
3 Long-wear Gel Eyeliner - RM 80.00

My outfit for the day!

First time experimenting with PhotoShake!

That's all peeps! I've learnt how to blow up my pictures without making it blur! WEE!! Will do a review about Bobbi Brown's cosmetics soon! So, Stay Tuned and Happy shopping with Bobbi Brown!

Loads of love,
Huiling.

Android!

Sorry guys!

Been super busy with the house lately. Just a few days ago I managed to clear up my dirty-dusty-messy room. Hardcore cleaning! I even scrub my bedroom floor ok? Anyways, been spending loads of time with my family and love this month. The month June is coming to an end. Super fast eh?

This month peaks : Mom bought for me an Android phone (at last, after 4 years I've been using my Sony Ericsson phone). Now you just cant live without an Android phone or Iphone. Agree? SO, Go and get yourself one. You don't know what you are missing! ^^

My newly bought Samsung Galaxy S.

This cellphone was actually recommended by a staff I know in Sunway Carnival Mall, Prai. I actually wanted to get Blackberry or Iphone 5 after it is launch. But, he persuaded me that this is much better. Psst! Hubby and I bought the same phone together.

After a few days using it I have come to realize it's Pro's and Con's that might help you guys to make up your mind.

Pro's:
1. It's cheap! Only RM1,250 for two years of warranty from Samsung.
2. It has a Super Clear LCD screen. It's like watching tv from your cellphone!
3. Runs under Android 2.2.1 technology.
4. 5.0 megapixel of AF Camera.
5. Has Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI and most importantly 3G!
6. You can put Live Wallpaper in the background.
7. HD Video Playing and Recording.
8. Has keypad SWYPE function which means you don't need to press each button with your finger on that tiny little kepad. You just need to swap the letters you need.

Con's:
1. You cannot play with the on/off button for too long. It can reset the whole cellphone.
2. Does not have Flash. I think they forgot about that little detail.
3. Haven't found out yet.

Anyways, if you guys wish to purchase Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9003, just pm or call me and I'll recommend you to the staff I bought it from. Hope this helps!

A few photos of me and love spending our days in June!

on the way to see my little niece!

my little niece who wont let anyone to carry her except clement. =(

One last thing, watch this! super hillarious!

New Year Splurge

Basically, when it comes to make-up, I'm a big fat loser. It's freaking easy to buy whole loads of make-up stuffs and not know how to use it. I admit I'm not intelligent type enough to swipe-swap palettes and colours all over my face and look picture-perfect. I always opt to go for natural colours and stick to the basics but even that, I cant manage. Feel the same? Read on.

However, I discovered something that just might be the trick for my radiant-less and UN-flawless skin. I was roaming in Parkson, Gurney Plaza one day when I came across this all-in-one set that I knew I HAD TO BUY IT!

BENEFIT : CONFESSIONS OF A CONCEALAHOLIC.
Sounds familiar? I know. :P

And yes, you read it right. Conceal-a-holic. Every skin needs touch-up once in awhile to look its best. Face it, with all the tremendous stress, how can we girls cope up with healthy diets and be consistent in our skincare range? So, if concealer is already your best friend, I bet this is your thing.

Its a set of the most popular concealers in Benefit. Fret not, it's not that costly if you sum everything up. I prefer to go for cosmetics in sets because it is much easier to use for people like me.

1. That girl - Brightening Face Primer. (7.5ml)
After your skincare, it's best for you if you use a primer. So that your make-up stays put all
day long. And Psst.. your skin will look instantly radiant with this brightening primer. I love the scent of it too! Very fruity and delicious!

2. Erase Paste - Brightening Camouflage (3.2g)
It's a concealer for panda-eyes and eye bags. It comes in a medium shade, suitable for Asian skin like you and me. It really covers my veins and dark circles so this is a must-keep item for me!

3. Boi-ing - Industrial Strength Concealer (2x1.3g)
2-in-1! In this particular set, it comes with two types of shade. One, light and one medium. Try blending those two and those red bumps will be gone in a jiffy!

4. Eye Bright - Instant Eye Brightener. (0.9g)
Eye bright is used for the inner and outer corners of the eyes. Honestly, I love this! It really brightens up my eyes and it makes me look ever-ready and you wont even realise your wearing it.

5. Lemon Aid - Colour Correcting Eyelid Primer (0.9g)
This lemon aid is actually well-known in Benefit to extinguish those tired looking eyes or when you just feel lazy to put on a eyeshadow. However, I'm not a fan of lemon aid cause its too light and too bright for my medium-coloured skin. So, I just use it as a primer.

Great combo? I think so too! And its inexpensive. It's retail price is at RM148 per set. Oh, Did I mention? It also comes with a handy book to teach you how to use it and 2 brushes so that you wont worsen your blemishes. Double love! ^^

Till I find something new to share! Good day!
Hope you guys are pumped-up for the New Year!
