Incredible yesterday.

Hi cupcakes!

I'm backkkk! I am so sorry for the lack of updates. Here's a long post aite! Yesterday Love and I got the privilege to attend Sungha Jung's concert live in Penang Performing Arts Center!! We were so excited about yesterday. Love and I didn't attend a concert together before. The concert I went was way back when Wang Lee Hom came to Gurney Plaza, Penang. I think I was around 14 at that time. Yup, it was THAT long ago.

Before the concert, Love and I did some shopping around Gurney Plaza, Penang first. During our search for  my girlfriend's pressie, there was a pamphlet that really caught my eye and instantly, I feel like having an early BBQ lunch!

Bar-b-q Plaza's Supreme Mixed Combo Set.
Bar-B-Q Plaza was established by a Siamese, did y'all know??

Frankly, nowadays, I don't really favour meat too much. I prefer veggie's and fruits! *facepalms* However, Bar-b-q Plaza's delish sauce got me reminiscing about it's sizzling pork and fantastic soup that always, Always make me come back for more! Enjoy the pictures!

Bar-B-Q Plaza's Interior.

Why no focus meeee! Boo Hoo.

Yummy-licious early lunch!!

Sizzles. *pssts* LOOK AT THE STREAKY BACON!! @_@ *drools*

Best sauce in the whole wide world!! Must ask for a second bowl!

Ladies, remember to bring your own personal-handsome-chef. :3

I smile like shit nowadays. (>.<)

This is the part where the soup tastes the best!!

After that, we watched Men in Black 3 (MIB3) because it is on Hippo's must watch list. I wanted to watch Snow White and the Huntsman but it's not showing yet. Wu hu hu. So, I had to give in to Hippo. Thank god the movie was hilarious and disgusting (literary). I love it! Loads of undercover extraterrestrial aliens!

Besides, how to resist this??

Men in Black 3. Rating 8/10

Then, off we go for SungHa Jung's concert in Straits Quay, Penang.

"Sungha Jung is a 16 year old South Korean professional acoustic finger-style guitarist who has risen to fame on YouTube and other sites. As of 2012, his channel had over 17 million views, with his videos getting a total of over 454 million views, and also over 726,000 subscribers." Wikipedia

Just look at the crowd of music lovers.

The counter that sells Sungha Jung's CD and an array of ukulele.

Hubby with poster. I want to get a shot too. But one fan beat me to it! Oh well ~

We were seated one the last few rows. However, PenangPac sound system was really good.

The talented SungHa Jung! Ahhhhh ~!!!

Overall, I am so happy with the performance. Amazing sound system and lighting. And the price we pay to watch him? Totally worth every single ringgit spent. He played around 17-18 songs in that very evening. Songs arrayed from I'm yours by Jason Miraz, Hotel California by the Eagles, Pirates of the Carribean theme song, Super Mario and Canon rock! What really astonished me was that he could play all three acoustic guitar, electric guitar and ukulele ever so effortlessly at the age of 16!! Let me repeat.. Sixteen!!
The performance lasted for 1 hour and 45 minutes with one surprise guest who can dance and sing too.

To those who don't know SungHa Jung, watch this and you will know why he is sooooo popular among guitarist.

Hope you enjoy it like I do. Till then,

Loads of Love,
HuiLing.

Dragon year - Day 2

Since the fireworks would'nt let me sleep, why not I just type a post, aite? Normally, the second day of Chinese New Year, the Tan's will just do nothing. However, this year, one of my aunt decided to held a buffet for all! Tee hee! More food to consume!

In the morning, sis and I went to our grandpa house for a visit and wished them well for Chinese New Year. Then, off I went to Love's house to pai chia his family and relatives. Something new this year. *smiles* After few hours at his grandma's place, we decided to go and fetch my mom and off we went to one of my aunt's place where all my cute cute nephew and niece were there.

Meet the cheeky duo in the family!

All of us love to play with them because they're just simply cute and funny to watch! Even boyfie loves playing with them!

Around 7pm, we decided to head to my another aunt's place where the dinner buffet was held. My aunt invited most of the Tan family and it was more merrier than Day 1, I can tell you that.

Meet Mi Familia.

To those who didn't know, my birthday falls on the second day of Chinese New Year. Auspicious much? Tee hee. I got double ang pows in like every year, yeap, it's my favourite month! This year I got extra cause I turned 21! ^^

Apart from that, the Tan's also surprised me with a birthday bash this year too! I can't described how much I love my 21st birthday. I had two birthday bash!! Can you believe it? MASSIVE TWO! Like I said in my previous post, I really want to celebrate my 21st with my family and friends. And with God's will, I got it!! I felt really happy and glad though cause nothing can beat family and friends. This I learnt from the best - My father

Awww, Look at my cute nephew face! Should have asked him to blow the candles with me! ;P

and this is him giving me lessons on playing cards! super cute!

and this is the present he gave me (I know it's from his mom though)

The day continue with loads of laughter, chit chats, rounds of alcohol and gamble of course! So, how was your Chinese New Year celebration? Do tell me about it!

Loads of love,
Huiling

Dragon Year - Day 1

Some members of the Tan's.

Hello my ever-so-faithful readers,
Chinese New Year will not be complete without a reunion dinner right? So, for starters, the photo above is the Tan's little get together reunion dinner. Love my turquoise maxi dress from PhatCulture! By the way, mom gave me this for my 21st birthday gift!

The golden key of freedom!!!

So, my Day 1 of Chinese New Year goes like this, I wasn't at home that day. We had a sleepover at my aunt's place during the eve, so that we wont get caught in the massive jam on the real day of Chinese New Year.

Well, sad to say, this year Chinese New Year was so-so, but, we did have a lot of food and kids to entertain us with. They and their cuteness were just unbearable!
Do enjoy the pictures!

Never fails to add fat to my tummy!

Meet baby Oliver! :)

The best of the best!

The End.

Loads of love,
Huiling.
Wishing you a prosperous New Year! :)

Pre-Birthday Surprise!

Hello readers!

First off, Happy Chinese New Year to all my Chinese readers! My schedule had been jam-packed lately till I did not get the chance to clean my room until, yesterday. How not auspicious anymore. >.<
Anyways, I have three more blog posts to type off so lets get cracking', shall we?

After my last day of work, love told me that we will have dinner on the 20th January before I leave to Penang to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. And so, we did. I kind of know there will be a surprise waiting for me. Just don't know what it is. Love is getting really good in hiding stuffs from me.

So, he brought me to Soho in Auto-City, Juru which I was very surprised because love knows that I don't like to be in places where there's smoke or/and booze. I prefer quieter ambiance. However, it was alright considering the fact we were early so there wasn't many people there. Another thing is that hippo told the waiter that he reserved table for TEN!! and I was like "Woahhhh...."

Then, the surprise unveils! Love had invited most of my best buddies to come and celebrate an early birthday with me! Yes, yes! I am a lucky girl to have him. At first, I was dissapointed for days due to the fact  that most of my plans for my 21st birthday bash was crushed and burnt. I was whining away with hippo saying that my 21st birthday will be the worst. I really want to celebrate my 21st birthday with my family and friends. You don't turn 21 all the time, y'all know? However, I am soo effing happy that my blur boyfie planned a pre-birthday surprise for me which includes all my best buddies!

After having so much to talk about, another surprise happened! The lights in Soho were dimmed and from a far I saw a birthday cake ushered by the bartenders in Soho. Then, the best part, the DeeJay in the front, gave a shout out saying that it was my birthday and asked everyone to sing for me a birthday song. Ahh ~ the fame on your birthday.. Just can't get any better! Enjoy the pictures! ^^

Flaming! It was on the house, so why not? A must for every birthday celebration I guessed.

All the pretty/handsome/hot/cute little people who came! Thanks again guys!

The guy who made it all happened! Love you loads Bu!

The awesome pressie!!

I definitely enjoyed myself that day! Thanks again to those who came and thanks Janlyn for the awesome pictures! Clement Chooi, thank you oh so much for making my 21st birthday a memorable one! Love you very much! Mwaks!

Till then people,
Stay tuned alright? I have three more post to type! =P

Loads of love,
Huiling.

NYX Opening Celebration.

Yeap another makeover! I'm going insane with makeovers! Actually, this is a very delayed post!

I went to this event with my family and cousin one day after the Clinique makeover thingy. Crazy right? But after the two days of splurging myself with full force make-up, I kind of given up on making myself pretty. Make-up makes one more beautiful. Right? BAM! Wrong! Not for me. I wasn't exactly blessed with a blemish-free skin so normally, make-up artiste will apply 4-inch (ok, I might exaggerate a little) of foundation to keep my face acne-free, poreless, and smooth! I don't really like it as it makes me feel so CAKEY if you know what I mean. So, no matter how hard a make-up artiste or a photographer is trying to make me look beautiful, it's just not going to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I do love make-up but it just doesn't seem to love me back. I now completely utterly accept my fate that I just look better without make-up. *Bleh, words from a sour grape*

Anyways, Back to my post. The event was OK to me. Not a lot of people attended the event. Somehow I feel there were more photographers than viewers.
First off, I kind of misunderstood the poster of the event, I thought it is going to be a ONE-day free make-up class or something like that, but ended up getting a free make-up, photo-shoot and some voting for make-up artiste thingy.

My mood wasn't really good that day, maybe because I'm dissapointed with my look and I feel so fat during the photo-shoot.

Mummy excited getting a makeover!

Registration.

Mom and sis getting ready.

The AFTER look. I do love the way she did my eyebrows though.

My sis and I (after I took off those nasty fake eyelashes!)

After that, my sis and I wanted to go home cause it's so tiring with all the make-up on, but my mom wants to flaunt her make-up so we decided to go to Queensbay Mall, Penang for a while to make my mom happy.

My favourite frozen yogurt place. I will only eat frozen yogurt from here. Don't ask me why, cause I don't know why. LOL

I prefer the varieties from here. My normal picks : Honey stars, longans, grapes and strawberries!

Ta-da! Bon appetite!

Last picture of the day!

Till then, See ya! Will try to elaborate more on the events next time ya! ^^
